Occasionally, a product review request comes in making claims that seem too good to be true. These claims are usually along the lines of said product, often times an item most people would be familiar with, possessing qualities or features that make it better than anything like it anyone has ever seen. This was pretty much the exact scenario when the review request came in from Glovax about its new gloves.
Photos of what looks like a hunting knife being drawn across a model’s gloved hand are part of the press kit, as well as claims of abrasion resistance, tear strength resistance, and puncture resistance. Intrigued, a review sample was ordered, and a couple weeks later a pair of funky orange gloves arrived at the door having been drop-shipped directly from Shanghai. Putting these claims to the test began straight away, including the claim of blade-cut resistance.
Once out of the package and on the hands, a number of things became apparent that are, perhaps, a bit beyond the scope of the above-mentioned claims, but no less important. The Glovax Pro gloves are super stretchy and form-fitting, which means you get the protection of wearing a pair of gloves without having to sacrifice much in the way of dexterity. It also means that these gloves are very comfortable, too.
Next up, despite what curiosity does to cats, the knife across the palm thing had to happen. Though tentatively at first, to be sure, the freshly sharpened blade of a paring knife was pressed into the palm of the glove and slowly dragged across. The result? Nothing. Nothing happened. This was repeated three times, each time a little harder thankfully yielding the same results every time. Pretty impressive.
After the knife experiment, it was time to check out some of the other claims. The Glovax Pro gloves laugh in the face of briars, scoff at getting snagged on nasty jagged stuff, and thanks to the textured coating that covers most of the gloves, they have the grip of a frightened spider monkey. Whether for work, play, or adventure time, these gloves not only have you covered, they also keep the hands ensconced in comfort and protected from a long list of nasties.
So, there you have it, sometimes, those extraordinary claims about a product exist because the product is actually extraordinary. Such is the case with the Glovax Pro Gloves. It’s impressive that something as soft and comfortable can be as tough as these gloves. For more information, check out the Glovax Facebook page. And here’s the Glovax Indiegogo page.
