Back in September, we got introduced to the iFrogz brand known for its audio accessories and phone cases. At the time, we got to take a look at four new wallet-friendly wireless earbuds, all promising great sound a sweet price. Today, we get a first look at the recently released Impulse Wireless Headphones, which, as is easily imaginable, promise premium sound at a plebeian price point.

Delivering sound (and phone calls) for a song seems to be the theme at iFrogz, and it is one for which we should all be thankful. Will every product iFrogz develops and brings to market be successful? Probably not. No company has a 100% success rate. That, however, is much less important than the mission of trying to deliver the best product for the least amount of scratch.
Not only are the Impulse headphones wireless, they are also foldable, making them quite convenient to store for safe keeping or stow away for later listening. This should prove rather handy for travel whether by Greyhound or Airbus. Once unfolded, turned on, and donned, all the buttons needed to make things happen are located on the earcups. The power button is located on one, while volume and track controls are located on the other so there’s less of a chance of accidentally shutting everything down before the rocking out even begins.
Also built into the earcups is a microphone for taking and making phone calls as well as a 3.5mm audio jack in order to do the same thing with the included audio cord with mic and remote. To deliver a presumably big sound, iFrogz has specified big 40mm drivers, and to keep the party going, there’s twelve hours of battery life. From a distance, these new Impulse headphones appear to be pretty darn slick, especially when the $59.99 price tag.
