Never really thought of myself as a slipper guy, until about a year ago, shortly after being contacted by a representative from Time Slippers. Time, instead of reinventing the wheel, simply deconstructed your basic athletic shoe and reinvented it with some of the squishiest, most comfy materials known to man (slight hyperbole, but seriously comfy stuff, here). It looks like a shoe, it can even be worn as a shoe, as in outdoors, but it is all slipper, all day long.
Due to a recent skateboarding injury, I find myself living in my year-old Time slippers. They are the only thing that I can easily slip on and off that are robust enough to deal with my morning hobble to the coffeeshop yet comfy enough to pamper my wicked sore leg. For this, Time Slippers, I am eternally grateful.
Leather Slipper Low-top
The slipper is made with super supple leather, natural wool lining, flexible rubber outsole, and yoga mat insoles. They keep my feet toasty and ensconced in comfort all day long with nary a concern about having to step outside or run a quick errand. Thanks to its 10mm “sumo-stretch” fixed laces, the fit on these slippers is snug but not enough to limit range of motion or make them uncomfortable. The super soft leather of the slipper’s upper is the sort that will, over time, mold to the foot, becoming even more comfortable. If the past year doesn’t prove that, the last two weeks or rest and recovery certainly has. Prices start at $99 with several style available.
**Full disclosure: These slippers were provided at no cost for editorial consideration, to think otherwise would be silly.**
